Open to area students pursuing education certification

This generous endowment of two $2,500 scholarships will be given to students committed to attaining a college degree with teacher certification. Please include any record of volunteer work, deserving personal characteristics, and academic success. 
 
Fred Kunz was a long-time teacher in public education and member of WCRTA.  He committed his life to helping students and believed that volunteering in the community was extremely important.  As students were helped in life, Fred believed that students should give back to others and the community. 
 
Applicants should submit the following with this application:
  1. Three letters of recommendation:  
  1. One from a former or current teacher
  2. One from a person who has supervised your volunteer work
  3. One from a community member knowing your character and work ethic
  1. A current copy of your transcript
  2. A personal essay stating why you deserve this scholarship, including a summary of your volunteer work. The essay should be typed.
        Put your name on every page. Save a copy of everything for yourself.
